The Great Escape

He ran. He didn't know what else to do, so he ran. After all, rooftop jumping always calmed the young ninja's nerves. But then, something odd happened. The highly trained, serious boy fell. Shun's vision blurred, he stumbled, and he fell. He hit the top of a trashcan in an alleyway on his way down.

'Good thing that was a low rooftop' Shun thought. He got dizzy, and his vision blurred again.

'Just ignore it, Shun. You're fine. Just suck it up!' He got up, and began to run again. Just then, he heard something-

Billy was just so confused. Everything seemed to be changing around him. He was such a jerk in that brawl! What took control of him so suddenly? All he knew was that he needed to clear his head. He ran into an alley, and sat against the far side of a large trash can. All of a sudden, he heard a crash, and saw a boy come tumbling down. As the boy began to run, Billy managed a careful:

"Shun?"

'damn, I'm not in the mood for this now...' Shun thought.

"What are you doing here? Hanging out in an alleyway doesn't seem to be your kind of thing."

"I could ask you the same thing" Billy said. "Oh, and by the way, that was a TOTALLY un-ninja fall, ninja boy." Billy gave a smirk.

"You know what Billy, no one needs you!" Shun said, as he began to turn away from him. Before he could start running, however, he murmured "Even Julie"

Sun ran as best he could without falling. He was just slightly ill today. Yeah, that was it. Nothing to fret over. 'Man, that was cold of me. I should go apologize to him.' Shun thought, but his pride wouldn't let him. 'No, knowing Billy, he probably thought I was joking. If he's still upset tomorrow I'll call him.'

Billy looked at the retreating Shun, stunned. "You don't have to tell me what I already know." He whispered.
